Our staff wants to ensure that you are equipped with the knowledge and resources to help you succeed.
You can gain practical skills in healthy communication, decision making, respect and commitment. We offer classes for both women and men.
Losing a baby or miscarrying can be a heartbreaking event for any person, even if the pregnancy was unexpected. We offer support to men and women experiencing grief associated with pregnancy loss.
Have you had a recent or past abortion and are feeling alone and unsupported? If you are feeling sad, depressed or guilty, we can offer you hope. We provide after-abortion care to anyone struggling with a past abortion.
“The unexpected pregnancy and subsequent abortion may be behind you, but the memories of that painful experience still tear at your soul.”
Linda Cochrane, Forgiven & Set Free
Pregnancy Center’s support effectively delivers healing to women who carry deep emotional scars as the result of an abortion experience. This recovery program offers women the opportunity to bring the long suffering out of the darkness and into the light, so that true healing can take place.
We offer all of our support in both an individual or group setting.
A man is a factor of every abortion decision whether he participates or not. Our program is designed for men who have experienced loss as the result of an abortion willingly or unwillingly.
As one participant said: “After the abortion, I felt a sense of relief, but that relief soon turned to feelings of disappointment and loss, and finally to a feeling of deep anger towards myself, my girlfriend and everyone involved in the decision.”
Post-Abortion Stress (PAS) is a form of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This disorder describes the dysfunctional adaptation someone experiences when the painful emotions surrounding a traumatic event have not been processed.
Post-Abortion Stress is an unhealthy emotional reaction experienced by individuals who have been involved in a situation where an abortion took place. It includes an inability to express feelings surrounding the pregnancy and abortion, as well as the inability to resolved the loss and come to a place of inner peace.
Pregnancy Center of the Upper Valley’s sexual healing program is designed to help individuals who have made sexual choices they regret or who have suffered abuse.
The program offers individuals the opportunity to work through the recovery process, exchanging their pain for a healing balm.
Their sexuality may be recreated into something beautiful, free them from years of guilt and shame – enabling them to forgive others and themselves and know true and lasting love.
G.E.M.S. (Growth Experiences for Material Services) is a program offered by the Pregnancy Center of the Upper Valley that combines material assistance with practical educational opportunities.
Support is offered through peer-counseling, relationship mentoring, and emotional & spiritual encouragement. Class sessions cover a range of topics related to baby care, parenting and personal development.
